Pg Near Hauz Khas – A Mix of Old and New

Pg Near Hauz Khas is a popular choice among students due to its close proximity to the Delhi University Campus and some of the best engineering and management colleges. It is also home to a number of restaurants and bars that attract a trendy, young crowd. If you are looking for a safe and clean area to stay, a PG in this part of the city might be the right choice for you. It’s important to choose a place that is within walking distance to your college or office, as well as having a grocery store and stationery shop nearby.

The Hauz Khas complex was built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq in the 13th century. It was meant to provide water to Siri Fort but ended up becoming a landmark in itself, with a mosque, tombs and madrasas.

Once upon a time, this area was a cultural hub for the Indian subcontinent. Many famous Bollywood movies were shot here and some even had its music composed. However, with the passage of time, the village lost its cultural significance and turned into a commercial district. But that has not stopped it from being a charming spot where one can find a mix of old and new.

In recent times, a number of fashion boutiques have opened up in the vicinity. Although a bit pricey for the average mango-person, these fashion stores are an amazing place to window shop. Some of the most renowned designers in the country have their outlets here, including Bina Ramani, Ogaan, She, Lacquer Embassy and Royal Creations.

Besides the shops, the village has an abundance of restaurants and cafes where people hang out to read, chat or just sit and watch the world go by. The area is particularly crowded on weekends, especially in the evenings. After a long day of work or school, you can join the locals for an impromptu stroll in the village and then go for dinner.

If you love birds, this is the perfect place to visit. There are plenty of squirrels and pigeons to keep you company and the sunset is especially beautiful here. If you’re lucky enough, you may even get to see some peacocks!

Another thing to do while you are in the village is to walk around the pond and take in the view of the beautiful architecture. The pond itself is small but there’s a lot of greenery surrounding it. The pond is also a great place to take pictures of the beautiful Gulmohar trees, which are in full bloom during spring. It’s a lovely sight when the flowers fall from the tree and cover the ground. There is also a deer park at the lake side, where you can see a lot of deer and rabbits. You can even rent a bicycle to explore the village in style!
